The Philander Smith University Homecoming 5K Run/Walk brings together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members to promote wellness, unity, and support for the university’s mission. The course highlights several African American historical sites in the city, such as Arkansas Baptist College, Little Rock Central High School, and the Dunbar Heritage Association Community. Proceeds from the event fund student scholarships. Participants receive a race bib, T-shirt, and finisher medal, while those not attending in person receive a T-shirt.
