The Veterans Day Run/Walk is organized by Islandia VFW Post 12144 to support veterans and their families facing hardship. The event features a run/walk open to all participants, as well as a Kids Fun Run for those 14 and under. Activities include age group awards, a barbecue, and commemorative t-shirts for early registrants. The course starts and ends near the Veterans Memorial at VFW Post 12144 in Islandia. Proceeds from the event benefit local veterans and their families in need, in line with the VFW’s mission to serve and advocate for veterans.
