About the race

The Peer Power Big River Crossing Race offers a rare chance to race across the Mississippi River on the longest public pedestrian bridge in the U.S.—linking Memphis, Tennessee to West Memphis, Arkansas. This two-state event includes a half marathon, 10K (6.2 mile) , 5K (3.1 mile) , and a 1-mile Family Fun Walk, all starting from the scenic Tom Lee Park. The half marathon and 10K take runners along the iconic Big River Crossing with a course that blends urban skyline views, waterfront paths, and fast, flat sections perfect for personal records. The event also supports a bigger mission: all proceeds benefit the Peer Power Foundation’s education programs in Memphis. With over 1,500 runners and growing annually, it’s a vibrant race-day experience featuring music, community energy, and a strong showing of local pride. It’s also an ideal tune-up race for those prepping for the St. Jude Memphis Marathon later in the season.
