The Captain Shreve Gator Run, also known as the Dr. Sandra McCalla Gator Run, is an endurance event held at Lee Hedges Stadium, with a course that starts and finishes on the stadium track and passes through the local neighborhood. Participants receive an official race shirt, with packet pickup available at Sportspectrum and on race day. Awards are given to overall male and female winners and top finishers in each age group. Supporters can also register as "sleep-in" participants to receive a shirt without running. The event includes a post-race awards ceremony and door prizes.
