The Turkey Trot is an annual endurance race in Irvington named after Peter Oley, a longtime and highly respected track and cross country coach at Irvington High School. The event features a course that weaves through the village, incorporating various terrains such as hills, roads, dirt, and grass. The race is organized with support from the Girl Scouts. Peter Oley was recognized for his outstanding coaching career, including numerous titles and awards, and was inducted into the Westchester Sports Hall of Fame. Registration requires creating an account with the Irvington CommunityPass system.
