The Pumpkin Plod is an annual Thanksgiving endurance event featuring a competitive, chip-timed run with age divisions for participants, as well as a non-competitive walk. The event is part of the Calumet Striders Gold Cup Elite Series. Awards include plaques for top overall and masters finishers, and pumpkin pies for top age group, Athena, and Clydesdale finishers. Walkers are encouraged to participate in the non-timed walk. Both courses start in Highland and finish at Lincoln Center. Participants receive a long-sleeve shirt while supplies last. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted with restrictions.
