The OBX Gobbler 5K and Fun Run is an annual Thanksgiving Day event presented by the Outer Banks Running Club. Participants can join a timed 5K or a Fun Run, with all 5K runners receiving a race-themed shirt while supplies last. The event supports local organizations, including Dare County High School Track Teams, Go Far, and the OBX SPCA. No race day registration is available, and participants are encouraged to donate canned goods for the local food pantry. Light breakfast is provided post-race for registered participants, and the event is held rain or shine.
