The Escape the Elves 5K, hosted by South Hall Rotary in Downtown Oakwood, GA, features festive activities such as meeting Buddy the Elf, spotting elves along the course, and a Best Dressed Award for the most festive outfit. The event includes a certified course starting at the Oakwood Community Center and a post-race Pancakes with Buddy breakfast. Participants are encouraged to bring canned food for the South Hall Food Pantry in exchange for raffle tickets. Proceeds support local charities, including food assistance, education scholarships, children’s programs, disaster relief, and Alzheimer’s research.
