About the race

Held along the iconic Zurriola Beach promenade in San Sebastián, the 10K Gimnástica de Ulía is the oldest road race in the Basque Country and one of the longest-running in Spain. It was first held in 1931. With a flat, fast, and officially certified course included in the RFEA calendar, it's a favorite for runners chasing personal bests. The race features both 5K and 10K distances open to the public, with no federation license required. For more competitive athletes, there's an exclusive 10K for sub-40-minute runners. Young athletes can also take part in junior races of 1,560 m (ages 10–13) and 3,120 m (ages 14–17). Known for its elite field, recent editions have seen standout performances like Adel Mechaal's 27:55 and triathlon legend Mario Mola’s road debut.
