The Difference Dash is organized by the ALH Ambassadors, a group of high school students involved in a workforce development program at Athens-Limestone Hospital. This event aims to fund scholarships for Senior Ambassadors planning healthcare careers, supported by the Athens-Limestone Hospital Foundation. The race starts at Athens Middle School, with a route through historic Athens, Alabama. The first 150 registered participants receive a free race shirt.
