Light of the World Academy hosts the annual RUN FOR THE GOLD event, featuring a main run and a Kids Fun Run. The course includes Michigan country dirt roads, a paved trail, and downtown Pinckney streets, appealing to local runners. The race is professionally timed, with live results. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers, and medals are awarded in various age categories. Kids Fun Run participants receive a t-shirt and medal, subject to availability.
