The Geaux Bald event is a charity race organized by second-year medical students at LSU Health Shreveport to support local cancer patients and their families. Established in 2011, it has raised funds to help alleviate challenges faced by individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Participants can opt to run or walk, and awards are given to top finishers and age group winners. There is also an option to participate as a Phantom Runner for those unable to attend the event.
