The Green Run is an endurance event held annually at Riverbend Park, organized by the Partnership for Environmental Education. This non-profit initiative supports the Jupiter Environmental Research and Field Studies Academy, a public high school program in Palm Beach County focused on environmental science. Since 1993, the academy has been preparing students for future leadership roles in the environmental sector. Participants in the program engage in activities such as marine life surveying, reintroducing native plant species, and constructing wetlands projects, alongside fulfilling community service requirements. The event aims to sustain this educational program.
