Strasimeno is a 58 km ultramarathon that circles the entire perimeter of Lake Trasimeno, starting and finishing in Castiglione del Lago. The route passes through some of Italy’s most beautiful villages, including Tuoro, Passignano, Magione, and Panicale, with views reminiscent of landscapes painted by Perugino and Luca Signorelli. Mostly flat, the course blends lakeside paths, historic towns, and scenic countryside within the Trasimeno Park. Alongside the ultramarathon, runners can also choose intermediate finish lines: 10 km in Borghetto di Tuoro, half marathon in Passignano sul Trasimeno, 34 km in San Feliciano, and the classic marathon distance in Sant’Arcangelo.
