The Pine Street School 5K is an annual fundraising event for Pine Street Elementary School. Proceeds support the Parent-Teacher Organization's initiatives to enhance the student experience with programs like specialized grade-level studies and Artist in Residence Week. The event takes place in Spartanburg's historic Converse Heights neighborhood and is USATF certified, with an awards ceremony for overall and age group winners. All students participate in a fun run during their PE classes, and those registering for the 5K race must be accompanied by an adult. Registration may include a t-shirt, depending on availability.
