The Mahaska County Sheriff's Reserves host the Pot of Gold Shared Half Marathon and 5K in Oskaloosa, utilizing the Mahaska County Recreation Trail and nearby streets. The event begins and ends at the Lacey Complex Stadium, providing convenient access and ample parking. The course features hilly terrain and scenic views. Proceeds support scholarships for male and female runners and other reserve projects. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group for both races, and all participants receive a race pint glass. Long sleeve shirts are distributed based on registration availability.
