About the race

Get ready to chase your next PR on the Western Pacific Trail, a historic route once used for hauling gravel during the building of the Transcontinental Railroad’s western section. Now, athletes can take on a mostly flat, fast course that invites you to push the pace. All distances start and finish at Quarry Lakes, with the 10K and half-marathon featuring out-and-back segments on the scenic Alameda Creek Trail. The terrain is primarily dirt fire road, interspersed with gravel for traction and erosion control, and a brief paved stretch for added variety. With virtually no elevation to contend with, this is a course tailored for speedsters and endurance specialists alike. Well-stocked aid stations along the course provide water, sports drinks, gels, pretzels, and candy to keep you fuelled. Half marathoners choose between a technical performance shirt or a classic cotton tee, while 10K and 5K entrants snag a cotton shirt. Every finisher earns a custom medal to mark their achievement.
