The Run with Heart event is an out-and-back run along the Satilla Waterfront Boardwalk and Greenway, organized to support the Mamie Lou Gross Elementary Running Club. Proceeds help fund t-shirts for students who reach half-marathon status and provide running shoes for those in need. The event also serves as a fundraiser for the family of Tate Harper, with all online donations and a portion of race entry fees being donated to the Harper family.
