The HC5K offers a family and dog-friendly running event designed to get participants active during winter. The race begins and ends at Kent Island Elementary School, following the scenic Cross Island Trail. Hot chocolate is available at the finish line. The event includes an awards ceremony for top male and female finishers, age group winners, and a division for walkers. An additional race day registration is available, though premiums are not guaranteed.
