The event is an annual 5K run in Culver City, themed around classic movie experiences and featuring iconic characters. Participants receive a bib, timing, medal, shirt, and access to entertainment and a post-race party with downloadable photos. The Beach to City Challenge involves completing both the Screenland 5K and either a 5K or 13K at the BRA Run to earn a bonus medal. The BRA Run can be done consecutively or started in August to finish the following year. Discounts are offered for joint registration of the two events.
