The Hachie 50, sponsored by the Waxahachie and Midlothian Running Clubs alongside the Waxahachie Lions Club, takes place in Getzendaner Park, Waxahachie. This endurance event supports local children and schools through the Lions Club. The course, primarily on concrete sidewalks with some dirt and gravel, is noted for its flat, tree-lined path. Participants receive custom t-shirts, medals, and race photos, with food and drinks available. Awards are given to top finishers. Race options include adult ultra-marathons and relays, as well as children's fun runs. The Waxahachie Running Club organizes the event to foster a welcoming running community.
