Participants can swim at Wimbleball Lake, a venue typically closed to public swimming and known for hosting previous open water swim events. Swimmers may use swimsuits, goggles, and optional wetsuits, with wetsuits recommended for those new to open water. Tow floats are permitted. The event provides safety support, including boats and marker buoys. All finishers receive a long-sleeved event t-shirt, a medal, professional timing, and post-swim snacks and water in recyclable cups.
