Since its first edition in 1969, Engelbrektsloppet has grown into Sweden’s second-largest ski race after Vasaloppet. Over the years, the event has evolved with modern developments such as artificial snow, now essential to ensure the races can take place. What started as a single competition has become a full winter week in Norberg, featuring multiple races for children, youth, elite athletes, and recreational skiers alike. With start, lap, and finish all located in Norberg’s central square, Engelbrektsloppet combines competition with community celebration.
