The Authentic Swimming Marathon is the revival, after 2,500 years, of the authentic swimming marathon. It includes various offshore swimming routes and is organized by the Municipality of Istiaia-Edipsos. Its sports production has been undertaken by Active Media Group.<br>The swimming competition provides the opportunity for modern swimmers to imitate the historical achievement of Skyllias and Idna, swimming over the wrecks of the historic naval battle of Artemisio.
