<p>Shaped by centuries-old volcanic eruptions, Camiguin is known as the Island Born of Fire. Fourteen volcanos exist (Philvolcs number) on a single island, one remains on the active list. The volcanic island has so much to offer including black sand beaches (the result of eruptions), a sunken cemetery now overgrown with coral after sinking into the ocean in 1871, thriving reefs, and a striking white sandbar which we have pleasure of swimming to or from on race day.<br><br>A modern national road runs the circumference of the island, a total of 60Km around.
